Some wonderful Memories of our friendships and classsmates and teachers. We had a 20th year reunion in 1976 at what was Jimmy Wong's Restaurant on Peterson & Lincoln. There was a great time had by all. We had several of the parents there that had been our chaperones at our grammar school Graduation Party: Fran & Mel Solon, the Lutz's, Sophie & Abe Caplan, and the Kleiman's. There were two teachers present as well. Miss Zimmer and Mrs. Schaible. Our Graduation Party was at the Town House on Morris & Sheridan Rd. At our reunion in 1976 we played all the OLD songs, watched the movie of our Graduation Party and just talked and met our classmates spouses. A great time was had by all. Took photos of everyone and even a class photo of how we sat for our Class Photo and then our spouses sat in our seats and took their photo so we would know who was whose husband or wife.

In the summer of 2006, we had our 50th year class reunion at my house and we located 38 of the 50 graduates, 6 were deseased and 6 were unlocatable. It was the hottest day of 2006 in July and we all just mingled around my house. Had a wonderful time and are looking forward to doing it again. One of our teachers was invited and was present and we loved having her and seeing her again. Mrs. Asher (Ruth Asher-Becker) became her name after we had her in 8th (8B) grade. Miss Zimmer was our 8A teacher and she passed away a few years prior to our 50th reunin party or she would have attended as well. We even tried to reproduce the Prepession Poem that we learned in 8th grade with Miss Zimmer. We got real close and put it in the booklet I made for all our classmates to have in rememberence of our 50 years. We were a small class and many of us have regained our friendships and write to each other now and even see each other through out the year. Our class was very unique as many of us stayed friend all these years. The party at my house was with our spouses and there were 31 people at our house that night; 13 classmates, Mrs. Asher-Becker and her husband, our high school class secretary and the wife of one of our deseased classmates.We had such fun talking about old and new times. I made a booklet for everyone in the class with photos of the night and pages from the past and sent the booklet to the entire class. Look forward to our next reunion party, maybe in 2011 after our 50th year Class Reunion from Amundsen High School Reunion (2010).
