I read in the newspaper this past weekend that Mrs Lussenhop died on October 9 2009 at the age of 101. I believe only those who attended Flower in the 50's and 60's might remember her.

We became "friends" when she asked if I wanted to work for her during my study period. This was when she was my Guidance Counselor and I continued to do so when she became Assistant Principal. I moved from the area during the summer of 1964 and always regretted not going back to say Good Bye.

According to her Obit, she must have left Flower in 1967 and joined the staff at the Chicago Teacher's College.
