Looking for Danny Kantner or Cantner, not sure how he spelled it. He graduated from Tuley in 1968. We were friends and I sure would like to find him, :)
My favorite teacher was Mr. Haig. He was my English teacher in my freshman year, 65-66. He taught at Sabin for several years before going on to teach at Lakeview high school. He recently passed away. He got me interested in reading and I have never stopped. I wish there were then and especially now teachers that get their students interested in learning. I know from my own experience, that you do better in a classroom where you like the teacher than one that just tries to teach on an impersonal level.
Who could compare to young Mr. Luciano Giraldi teaching Honors Social Studies? He was affable, enthusiastic, and adorable. We all did well.
There was also Roger Guidice teaching speech and Language Arts. He put up with my best friend, Beverly Gilman, and me with our giggling and unusual speech topics.
