I attended Beidler from 1941 until 1945 (War years) and have many wonderful memories. The huge pile of scrap metal in the school yard that the kids brought in to help the "war effort." My favorite teacher was Mrs. Hockberger who still to this day has an influence on my life. She insisted on perfect penmanship and we did the little circles and the verticle lines by the thousands. I lived at 3254 W. Walnut which has since been torn down. I would love to hear from anyone that attended Beidler during WW 2.
