Gifted Program

I attended the gifted program for the last three years of elementary school. Even til this day and throughout my life, I recall moments that have helped me along the way in my career, Our teacher Mrs. Pryzsiezyny, was one of the greatest influences in my life. She taught us to be ourselves and to be proud of it. She taught us the most difficult of subjects with ease and continually provided us with direction and allowed us to express ourselves. I tried several years ago to nominate her for an Apple Award and CPS informed me, the teacher had to be in active service to be considered, which is bologna, but their disregard for the teachers that provided a stable foundation, excellent teaching skills and impacted the lives of many of their students, will always be present as we move thru in life and pass along those wonderful lessons. No lack of award can blemish that fact. Thank you Mrs. P, you made a difference and you'll always be remembered for it!

I also must mention other great teachers at Koz that contributed to my education in a positive and proactive way, and they were:

Mrs. Bustos - Spanish Instructor

Mr & Mrs. Reyes - wonderful pair with great resolve to further a better education for the students at KOZ.

Mr. Kueth - great teacher, competed with his class all the time, it was fun.

Mr. Mac - Music instructor

Mrs. Chimenti - Music Instructor

To all my class mates, thanks for the great memories and I hope all in well in your life.

P.S.

Does any one remember Social Center? What a great program.

Mrs Hart

Mrs Hart will always be in my fondest memories of the time i attended Kosciuszko, she was well dressed and wore such perfect make up and me being a little girl she appeared as just the greatest!

Favorite Teacher

MY favorite teachers were Mr Matzukas and Mr Saldana. I learned alot from both of them. What I learned from Mr. Saldana was respect for me and others. I will never forget my last year there with him as my teacher. Thank You Mr. Saldana.

Judy Gidden and Kathleen Pozniak

I remember hating how strict Mrs. Gidden and Pozniak were and resenting how hard they pushed us. In hindsight, I owe them my current successes. They instilled a drive in their students and an inability to settle for less than their own personal best.

I attended Kosciuszko when it was Kosciuszko, and Lozano Specialty School should be ashamed to have lost them.

Edward W. Keuth

Mr. Keuth was my fifth, sixth and eight grade teacher.  He was cool. He said we the students always had a friend in him.  He was a great motivator and loved teaching.
