Mrs. Foxwell and Ms. Locallo - Thank you for your committment! Without doubt, I credit my experiences in the gifted program to my current academic and professional success. If either of you remain active with CPS, I encourage you conduct PD (professional development) sessions - in hopes that others can follow in your footsteps and provide the unforgettable learning experiences you offered me (and so many like me). With sincerity, THANKYOU!!
Mrs. Foxwell was definitely an amazing teacher. I had her for gifted Reading and she really challenged me! It is because of her that I love the written classics and still have a fondness for the Catcher and the Rye.
Did you know she is still active in CPS? She is now in charge of the CAPS program (Chicago Area Problem Solvers is what it stands for I believe) and from the photos I have seen from my former students who were in CAPS, Mrs. Foxwell still looks the same.
I had other great teachers such as Mr. George Williams, Mr. Wester, Mrs. Ann Kendrick (thanks to her, I am a teacher too), Ms. Yu, and there is my very first teacher ever ... Ms. Easter.
Anyone remember Mr Kreeda (sp?)???
Ah... Clinton School... when it was small, intimate and the principal, Dr. Gallager knew everyone's name.
She was so wonderful that I cried when I found out we were moving and therefore I wouldn't have her for eighth grade. Mrs. Haley, Mrs. Range, and Mrs. Owens tie for second place.
