About Washburne Trade School

In 1918, Washburne Continuation and Trade School took over the building housing Washburne School (an elementary school opened in 1888).In 1928 it was renamed Washburne Trade School. In 1934, Washburne was transfered from 14th Street to 1225 Sedgwick Avenue, into a building being vacated by Lane Technical High School.
