About Revere, Paul Revere Elementary School

Paul Revere was born in December, 1834 in Boston, Massachusetts. When he was 19 years old his father died, leaving him the sole support of his mother and many brothers and sisters. Trained to create gold and silver objects, young Paul also worked as a magazine illustrator and self-trained dentist. He later expanded into the hardware business and making of copper sheets. His copper company supplied materials used in the building of the ship the U.S.S. Constitution, the Massachusetts statehouse as well as copper pots and pans.

Paul Revere is now even better known for his "midnight ride" of nineteen miles during which he warned colonists of an impending British attack.

Paul Revere and his wife Sarah Orne Revere had eight children. After her death Paul Revere married Rachel Walker with whom he had eight children.

Paul Revere died on May 10, 1818.
