About Kosciuszko Elementary School

On March 9, 1875, the Board recommended the purchase of a site at the southwest corner of Division & Cleaver St. On October 29, 1875, the school was named Division and Cleaver Street Primary and ten years later, on October 7, 1885, its name changed to Thaddeus Kosciuszko.

A new building was constructed in 1906 at 1424 N Cleaver St which is the school's current address (thought its name has changed to Rudy Lozano Bilingual and International Center). On September 1, 1909, KOSCIUSZKO was made an independent school, no longer a branch of Wells.
