Austin High School has become a campus for small schools. In 2007, Austin Polytechnical Academy opened. The school also hosts Austin Business and Entrepreneurship Academy.

austin may hold the record for the most students attended, over 10,000 in the late 50's when the old building still exhisted. in the 1930's i understand that austin vs st.leo ?? for the city football championship holds the record for the most fans ever in the origional solders field (before the new stadium changes).
How can anyone forget the Baddest marching band in the city of chicago from 87-89. The director was George Page. Dana King (me) was the Drum Major!!!!! We were the first and only band from the west side of chicago to win 1st place in the Circle City Classic in Indianapolis Indiana.....
