About Anthony, Susan B. Anthony Elementary School

Susan B. Anthony (1820-1906) was born in South Adams, MA and taught for 15 year during which time she was active in temperance and anti-slavery movements. After the Civil War, Anthony led the women's suffrage movement as President of the American Woman Suffrage Association. She founded and published Revolution, a woman's rights newspaper in 1868.
