Welcome to the Audubon School alumni site. My name is John Price, and I am the current principal of the school. I became principal in July of 2006, when former principal Linda Sienkiewicz retired.

Audubon serves students from Pre-K through 8th grade. We have 3 year olds and 15 year olds. All together, there are 475 students enrolled at the school. After years of decreasing enrollment, Audubon's student population grew last year for the first time. We are projecting another increase in the coming school year. Within two years, Audubon should be back to over 500 students enrolled.

Audubon is a Magnet Cluster school, meaning that while we do have an attendance boundary, we also accept applications from outside of our boundaries. This year we have 218 applications, a 30% increase from last year. About 150 of those applications were for Kindergarten, and we accepted only 7 of them. Audubon is quickly joining the ranks of the best schools in the city.

Our Magnet Cluster program provides us with funding to support mathematics and science programs within the school. Students receive additional opportunities to explore science in our dedicated science lab. And, upper grade students receive instruction from a math endorsed expert to prepare them for high school mathematics. Audubon's math scores have increased every year for the past six years.

Audubon's parents are extremely supportive of the school. The Friends of Audubon raises funds to support school programs. Last year they raised over $70,000 for the school. Additionally, our Parent Teacher Partnership, creates volunteer opportunities for parents within the school to work with children in classes, chaperone field trips, paint classrooms, garden, and many other important jobs.
