Chicago's history and the history of the Chicago Public Schools are interwoven. That is one reason we are excited to offer registered alumni access to 100 years worth of CPS graduation and attendee’s records.

The records are presented in PDF form, beginning with the year 1873 and ending in 1973. There are no known records predating 1873 due to the Chicago fire. Records after 1973 may not legally be displayed. These records, however, are a matter of public record and were taken from the Board of Education minutes.

Accessing The Records
To access the graduation and attendee’s records, click here. Or you can click on the Historical Documents link, located on the right side of your school’s Home Page. You must be a registered user, and you must have Acrobat Reader. If you do not have Acrobat Reader, you can download it on the Records Page.

Other Historical Information
We are also pleased with the historical and biographical information found on the Home Pages for the CPS schools. Not every school’s record is complete, and we welcome any information you have about a school’s history. Please post your information directly on the school’s Home Page or by emailing Editor@CPSalumni.org
