Mr. Alan Willy is the composer of the Jane Addams School song as well as the composer of the Taylor School song where he is presently a teacher. Mr. Willy is a music teacher of 43 years with the last 17 years at Taylor Elementary School in the Chicago Public School System. Mr. Willy has a piano lab, computer music learning lab and is very active with his Taylor School Children's choir. In addition to singing at Navy Pier for 3 years in a row they are also working on their winter program for their third years-in-a-row of singing at Chicago's City Hall and South Chicago's Vodak Library (Battle of the Bands Program). Mr. Willy teaches private lessons in the surrounding communities of his school and also is active in the churches as choir director, piano/organist.
