I have traveled extensively, and have been in many countries around the world. I have had four careers, as a lawyer and federal prosecutor, as an elected official at the local, state and national levels, and as a diplomat in the international arena. I am now a business owner, and my company, Ambassador Organics, is beginning to sell food products in grocery stores across America. None of this would have been possible without the quality education I received in the Chicago Public Schools. I remain eternally grateful to the teachers who cared about my education, to my parents who emphasized the importance of education, and to the people of Chicago who were willing to financially support a school system that gave every child a chance to learn.
