Kate Starr Kellogg was born in Bridgewater, New York in 1854. She graduated from the Cook County Normal School and later taught at that school and the Springer School. She was principal of the Lewis-Champlin School and served as a district school superintendent from 1909 to 1916. Kate Starr Kellogg died in 1925.
