Susan B. Anthony (1820-1906) was born in South Adams, MA and taught for 15 year during which time she was active in temperance and anti-slavery movements. After the Civil War, Anthony led the women's sufferage movement as President of the American Woman Sufferage Association. She founded and published Revolution, a woman's rights newspaper in 1868.
